The “Recipes for Adventures” group will meet at 1:30 on February 6 to enjoy Chocolat, a novel by Joanne Harris. This is a timeless novel of a straight-laced French village’s awakening to joy and sensuality. Every page offers a description of chocolate to melt in the mouth of armchair gourmets, Francophiles, and lovers of passion everywhere.
This Book Club, which is open to the public meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the meeting room in the Sturbridge Library. Each book is a light and pleasure-filled read with scenic locations. Title choices are a good mixture of memoir and fiction. Refreshments are matched to the theme of each month’s reading selection.
